工 作 职 责:
- To drive the use of existing preferred and off-the-shelf components
- To ensure where new codes are necessary, there is high integrity in the descriptions and data applied.
- To ensure new components are qualified according to minimum product requirements and support the collection of RoHS/FMD data.
- Working across Olcaro design teams to provide visibility of preferred components via component libraries and databases including the availability of preferred components, footprints, etc are available in the appropriate ECAD design tools.
- Working in conjunction with Commodity Managers to eliminate duplication and reduce the overall Oclaro component count, taking into account all aspects of technical, risk, qualification and reliability requirements.
- For custom components, reviewing drawings and procurement specifications to ensure the design is as open as possible for multi-sourcing.
- Working closely with SCM to ensure preferred components are selected based on combination of lowest total cost of ownership and lowest risk to supply.
工 作 要 求:
- Bachelor degree or above in mechanical or electrical engineering or materials science.
- At least 5 years component engineering experience including composnent qualification and reliability techniques and data reporting.
- Experience working in a supply chain management environment including supplier audit and qualification practices would be advantageous.
- Good command of fluent English is a must.
